Free Cakes for Kids Austin

Has the thought of a child without a birthday cake ever crossed your mind?

If you're like most people, it hasn't.   At Free Cakes for Kids Austin, we provide free birthday cakes for Austin (TX) area children and youth who might not otherwise have a birthday cake.  Visit the "Who We Serve" page for more information about our recipients.

We receive no funding and have no paid positions; we are staffed 100% by amazing volunteers!

An article about us was featured in the Austin American-Statesman on 1/25/10, and as a result our volunteer base has grown rapidly.  With new volunteers being added every month, we are preparing to expand our mission and offer our services to seniors and disabled in public housing developments.  As our volunteer force grows to 200, 500, or perhaps even 1,000 volunteers, perhaps we will expand our services to other populations in need.  We are all, first of all, philanthropic volunteers.  That is our gift that we enjoy sharing.

Our agencies are grateful for our services since every dollar that they do not spend on things like cakes can be spent on the kids' other needs instead.  Visit the "Warm Fuzzies" section of our web site to see their feedback.
